Quizlet- Create Interactive Flashcards for Your Class
Quizlet is a powerful game-based tool that you can use to create beautiful interactive flashcards. The process is simple and easy: open an account with Quizlet (registration is free), create a class, invite students to join in, then create and share study sets. As students work on their study sets, you monitor their performance and track their progress.
The great thing about Quizlet is that you do not even have to create a study set from scratch. You can simply use the site’s internal search functionality to search for pre-made study sets. There are tons of ready-to use study sets which you can add to your library and edit the way you want.
There are five study modes in Quizlet: a Flashcard mode, Learn mode, Write mode, Spell mode, and Test mode. There are also two game activity types: Match (students race against the clock to match terms and definitions as quickly as they can”, and Gravity (“Students type answers quickly to stop asteroids from hitting your planet. As you progress through the levels, asteroids start falling faster. This game is currently available on the website only.”)
There are various ways to use Quizlet in your teaching. I have written a full review about how to make the best of Quizlet in your teaching. Read Quizlet full tutorial for teachers to learn more.
